It's the most dangerous time of the year!
I got an email last week that the Ballard Designs holiday collection was online. Uh oh! I'm powerless to resist almost anything there, and I am especially devoted to the Alphabet Wreath. They may as well go ahead and package one of those in a G and send it right on over to me! (I'll take that glass-and-wood front door too.)

File this under "I want"
I don't mind doing laundry, honestly. But this hamper might make me want to wash clothes. I cannot justify the price tag, especially because I'd prefer two (one for whites, one for colors) and because I'd want a custom liner made from fabric I pick out myself. But, oh. I do love this very much.

Chalkboard cabinets
I have a friend who just adapted this idea for her own kitchen. She painted two cabinet doors with chalkboard paint and listed measurement conversions on the fronts. Super cute!

My favorite room {this week}
D.C. interior designer Sally Steponkus is featured in the February issue of Southern Living. I love all the color, the upholstered headboard {of course}, and the skirted table!
{via Apartment Therapy, because Southern Living ran these images but didn't put them on the Web.}
*My talented friend Laurey Glenn took the photos!

Pot racks
When they're done right—functional and pretty—there's really nothing better than a kitchen with a pot rack. I especially love rustic ones with beams and copper, although I couldn't find a good image of one.

More winter *sigh*
I'm using this image a la the fake fire some stations run on TV during the holidays. Hurry, Spring!

Epic. Fail.
You'll rarely see a post like this here, but oh, Pottery Barn Kids has messed up with this one.
Hannah's Fairy Bedroom
FAIL.
That is the creepiest looking canopy ever, and it would freak me out if I woke up with that ginormous fairy perched high above my head. Don't even get me started on the one that's hanging in front of the window.

Love an upholstered headboard!
These are all great, for different reasons. Love the colors. Love the monograms. I can't pick a favorite! What's yours?
The contrasting inset panel with the monogram is great. I'm totally coveting a gold mirror like the one on the right and that pair of prints above the headboard. Tres fabulous.
I'm a big fan of this headboard shape and the bed skirt versus a footboard. I love the blue lamp paired with the yellow fabric too. And that monogram? *Swoon*
My favorite part of this look is the super-tall, dramatic headboard. Digging the color and bold pattern of the fabric though, admittedly, the deer print is kinda different.
I'm sort of burnt out on monogrammed hotel linens because the look is everywhere, but I absolutely adore the tufted headboard. The fact that it's pink velvet is the cherry on top!
Love. These. Colors. The tall headboard piped in a contrasting color is really striking. And the Lucite bench covered in chocolate polka-dot fabric is to die for!

Back! I'm Back!
And I want a bar cart. This is my favorite one, but I wish I could find it in a nice springy olivey green (how's that for a made-up color?). I never have people over for drinks, and I rarely ever have more than one bottle of Cupcake Chardonnay chilled, but I love the look of all the bottles arranged together. Add neat rows of colorful canned fruit juice, old-school bottles of club soda, cool glasses, a bowl of lemons and limes, and it's a work of art!
{Miniature liquor bottles would be fun and *bonus* cheaper!}
{via Tonic Home}
I don't really love this clunky cart from Pottery Barn, but I do like the arrangement.
And two more lovely options. I do love a little gilded gold in my home. {No, seriously. I have a little in almost every room.}

And, finally, perfection. I love those monogrammed chairs! The flowers are a lovely touch too.
